Doing Tabata Every Day Ruins Your Weight Loss

When you want to lose weight, you would like it to happen very quickly. So doing Tabata every day would be an idea that might come to your mind. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) like Tabata burns a lot of calories and saves a lot of time.

It is certain that doing sessions regularly will have a considerable impact on your weight. However, it is important to understand that your body needs rest. Your body continues to burn calories during these moments of rest because the muscles need to regenerate!

I advise you to practice the Tabata method several times a week, but not to do it every day. Above all, let your rest, stretch and combine your sessions with another type of training (running, swimming, cycling, etc.).

How many times a week should I do Tabata?

In order to obtain interesting results, I advise you to practice the Tabata method 3 to 4x per week maximum.

In this way, your muscles will have time to repair themselves and your body will be in the best conditions to reduce fat mass.

For a weight loss goal, it is important to eat well, exercise regularly, and get rest. With a good diet, your body will have enough fuel to regenerate damaged muscles. This is how you will be able to do several Tabata sessions per week and optimize your weight loss.

Normally, if you have good eating habits, good sleep, and a good workout routine, you should lose around 700g to 1kg per week.

Do this for 4-6 weeks, and you will find the results to be impressive. We are now talking about a weight loss ranging from 2.8 kg to 4.2 kg (And yes, in such a short time!)

Can we do a Tabata session every day?

Basically, this protocol was developed over a period of 6 weeks at the rate of 4 training sessions per week.

During the experimental phase, it was athletes who were put to the test. They were in great shape as they were part of the Japanese Olympic speed skating team.

Few people have health and physical strength comparable to top athletes. Therefore, you shouldn't do it every day.

Between each Tabata session, you can either take a full day of rest or do a different and less intense workout.

If you choose the second option, you can for example do some weight training or do a longer, but less intense cardio session.

Still can't seem to do a Tabata session? It's because your body is not ready. In order to build muscle and strengthen it, you need to follow a fitness program.

In just 21 days, you can be ready to do Tabata and HIIT. During this period, you will do home sports sessions that last between 15 and 30 minutes.

Will doing Tabata every day help me lose more weight?

Still decided to do Tabata every day? Initially, this will obviously have a positive impact on your weight loss.

With this training method, you will train intensely and therefore burn a large amount of calories.

In addition, all your muscles will have to regenerate every day which will also help to use a lot of calories.

However, this routine only lasts a while, as after a while you will need to decrease the dose. Your metabolism and nervous system will need a rest. Therefore, I advise you not to do Tabata every day.

If you get to the point where you ask too much of your body, your weight loss will slow down. Your body will figure out how to store calories in order to protect vital organs.

This protection occurs naturally and this is the reason why it is important to vary your workouts, not to do Tabata every day, to take rest and to vary the intensities.
